Autumn Pears Project
Create your own decorative pears to use as creative home décor using just a few supplies from the Shoppe! I often see faux fruit at home décor stores that seem overpriced, so I thought I would try creating some simple elegant pears myself to use as fall décor.
Begin by painting three paper mache pears with Sand acrylic paint and allow to dry. Once dry, paint over each pear with a generous coat of crackle paint. I painted two pears with Shabby Shutters crackle paint and one with Vintage photo crackle paint. Set the pears aside and leave them to dry for at least a few hours. The next step is to “seal” the paint so it doesn’t chip; to do so, paint each pear with Matte Collage Pauge. Once the Collage Pauge is completely dry, tie two velvet leaves to the stem of each pear.
