Alice Art Girl Softies Project
I have been a fan of Ruth Rae's work for quite some time so when after reading Layered, Tattered and Stitched I was inspired to create some mini art girl dresses of my own. The book includes a template which makes it really easy. Use the dress template and cut out four dresses on white fabric. Attach some 7gypsies Paper Tapes to the bottom of the dresses and sleeves. On the dress with the yellow tape I used the Tonic Studio scissors to cut a scalloped edge.
The two collage images on the dresses are from the Alice Paper Pack. Attach the images to the dress with the 7gypsies Paper Tape. Sew around the edges of the dress (except for the neckline). Stitch with a messy stitch style to give the edges that "tattered" apprearance. Stuff the dresses with a little Poly-fil. Sew the neckline shut. Use the Cavallini & Co. clips to attach to some mini hangers.
