Quirky Halloween Birdy Project
I love the Graphic 45 matchbook boxes as they have so much creative potential. When I was trying to decided what kind of project to create with the 8 x 8" box I was originally going to use it as is as a shadow box, then it dawned on me that separating the pieces would be a better option because then I essentially had two shadowboxes.
I painted each piece with black acrylic paint and set the pieces aside to dry. While the boxes are drying, start cutting out the birdy doll images and pieces from the birdy dolls collage sheet. Also cut out two 8 x 8" pieces of the decorative paper from the Enchanted collection pack.
When the paint on the boxes has dried, glue the decorative 8 x 8" pieces into the inside of each box. Take some torn, rectangular pieces of black tissue and kraft tissue layer them, gluing them onto the center of the boxes with matte medium.
Glue the birdy doll pieces onto the center of the tissue, assembling the dolls. Hang the shadowboxes on the wall, rest them on the mantle or a shelf for some quirky Halloween décor.
