Hollywood Nights Project and Lan Nguyen

UPC:

Inspired by Graphic 45’s new Curtain Call papers, Vanessa and Lan created a few party-related projects for a "Hollywood Nights" glitz and glam gathering. Together, Vanessa and Lan crafted a party banner, party favors, and theme-appropriate invitations. All three projects are quick and easy, yet look elegant and artistic. The simple zigzag stitching on all three items ties these projects together and the red thread adds a little sparkle and panache. Invite your friends over and immerse yourselves in the glitz and glamour of times gone by.

Banner:
First create a simple flag template that you will use to make each evenly-sized for your banner. Using the template, cut out various patterned papers from the Curtain Call (12 x 12”) collection. Using ivory seam-binding ribbon, stitch the ribbon across the top of the banner.

CD Favors:
Using the quad pages of patterned paper, cut out each one and trim off the edges slightly so that a CD will fit inside. Stitch the three edges of each one with the red thread, making a zigzag stitch. On a piece of vintage paper or alternatively a piece of cream cardstock, print a small playlist of the songs that you put on the actual CDs so that your guests can view the playlist.

Invitations:
Type up your invitations and print them on a beige-colored cardstock. Cut out the invites and then matte them onto a piece of the polka dot patterned paper from the Curtain Call collection. Take this and layer it onto the peacock patterned paper from the Curtain Call collection to establish a multi-level effect. Stitch the invites with the same red thread and zigzag patterned stitch.
