Looking for a quick and inexpensive gift or favor idea? Dress up some vintage jars and tins by using just a few simple supplies.
Using small plastic storage jars and clear top tins, I simply added some canvas patches to the outside. The circle patches fit perfectly on the clear lids of the round tins, and the square and rectangular patches fit nicely on the square bottles.
I also used some jute ribbons and scrapper’s floss for an extra special vintage touch. I used a wide jute ribbon to wrap around the base of the tins and adhered the ribbon using a few glue dots. Then I wrapped some coordinating colored scrapper’s floss around the base as well. I added the thin jute ribbon on some of the lids and on the base of one of the bottles. I also added some coordinating scrapper’s floss on the bottles for a finishing touch.
Fill the bottles with some bath salts, and you’ve got a lovely assortment of French-inspired gifts that are easy and affordable!
