Enameled Amazing Alterables Project
PaperWhimsy’s Amazing Alterables are still a challenge for me because I haven’t worked with them much. But each time I get the chance to create a project with them, I get excited because of the endless possibilities. They can be painted, collaged, glittered, and even enameled with Relique Powder.
Enameled Amazing Alterables Project Directions
Coat PaperWhimsy Amazing Alterable ornament with gesso, and let dry.
Brush Iced Enamel Medium onto the bottom layers of the ornament. Sprinkle with Relique Powder, and shake off excess.
Slowly and evenly heat the entire layer with heat tool until the enamel sets as desired. Set aside to cool.
Repeat for each layer of the ornament using contrasting colors.
Glue the bottom two layers together with Diamond Glaze.
Before attaching the heart frame, trace the inside of the heart, and then use a palette knife to apply White Sand Texture Paste to the center area inside the line.
Once the texture paste is dry, use Diamond Glaze to attach the heart frame.
Once all of the layers are completely dry, add Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers to the center of the ornament.
Fill the center with Diamond Glaze, and let dry for at least 24 hours.
