Dragonflies and Dreams Two-Way Necklace by Sarah Donawerth
This simple necklace is convertible. It can be worn long or short to suit every neckline. Just adjust the way it’s clasped for a whole new look every time you put it on. Our brand-new Vintaj Natural Brass Co. Flying Arrow charms add the perfect accent for a layered, boho-chic necklace with plenty of possibilities.
Dragonflies and Dreams Two-Way Necklace Directions:
Cut lengths of chain into 2” segments. Thread an aurora borealis faceted bead onto an eyepin, trim excess wire, and make a look at the other end. Connect the 2” segments of chain with the beaded eyepins until you have a length of 40”.
Fold chain in half to find the center, and attach the toggle piece of the clasp with a jump ring at the center link of the chain.
Attach the ring piece of the clasp with a jump ring to the two ends of your chain.
Apply patina to certain areas of the charms to accentuate, and immediately wipe away excess with a cloth or paper towel.
Tip: Less is more. For a slightly distressed look, use as little patina as possible and wipe away to reveal some of the metal underneath.
Once patina is dry, attach each charm with a jump ring to the ring piece of your clasp. For the dragonfly, add an inch of chain above the charm so that it doesn’t crowd the other pieces.
To wear:
Leave unclasped for a long necklace or double up the chain and use the toggle clasp for a shorter look.
