Coloring Book Gift Box Project
It is tragic that most coloring pages are completed with hours of hard work only to sit on a shelf for the rest of their life. This art should be shared! Hang it on the walls, collage your art journals, or create these darling treat boxes. This coloring page already had squares printed on it, so assembling the box was as simple as trimming along the lines.
Coloring Book Gift Box Project Directions:
Color each box on the coloring page from The Coloring Studio Summer 2016 (page 33). For this project, use a combination of Gelatos, Distress Crayons, and water-soluble colored pencils. Pick up a bit of pigment with a water brush to use them as watercolors, or scribble directly onto the page and blend with a water brush or blending tool. Experiment with different techniques to create fun and interesting combinations.
Cut the white margins away from the squares, then trim along the squares’ lines to form a box. Fold along all lines and attach with gel medium.
Fill with candies or other treats and tie with a bow.
