Butterfly Canvas Pillow Project
Begin with a natural canvas 18x18 pillow cover. Paint the front of the pillow with gessoand allow to dry. Then paint over the dried gesso with moss acrylic paint and allow to dry. Use the script side of the collage cube stamp and sand acrylic paint and gradually stamp over the entire front of the pillow to create the script layer. Allow the paint to dry.
Use black acrylic paint and the butterfly stamp on the collage cube and stamp a row of butterflies across the front of the pillow. Once all the paint has dried completely you can seal it with your favorite medium if desired. I recommend the Claudine Hellmuth Studio mediums for this. Insert an 18x18 pillow inside the cover and display your pillow on your favorite chair, sofa or your bed! If you decided to use your pillow on outdoor furniture just ensure that it's a covered area as rain could damage the artwork.
