Art Journaling On-the-Go Kit Project
I created this project with my artistic friend in mind. Keeping an art journal can be difficult when she’s always on the move, so I put together a kit that includes a notebook, pens, a few spray inks, and stencils so that a moment of inspiration can be captured wherever she may be.
This set of large Moleskine journals paired perfectly with our new Handmade by Somerset Parisian-themed burlap bags. Also, I thought gelli glaze pens would be ideal for adding creative touches to her journal with their bright colors and fluid lines.
For an added touch, I even embellished one of the journals.
Art Journaling On-the-Go Kit Project Directions
For the embellished journal, layer Tim Holtz Pocket Cards onto the front a Moleskine Journal. Attach with glue dots.
Stamp Eiffel Tower by Claudine Hellmuth onto a patterned Pocket Card with black ink, and cut out. Center on layered Pocket cards and adhere with glue dots.
Add a strip of washi tape or a strip of sticker tape down the side to add a pop of color.
Stamp sentiment or date with roller date stamp onto a scrap of paper. Cut out and glue to the Pocket Card with gel medium.
Tie blue ribbon around the bag.
Address a blank, white tag and add a kraft circle stamped with design. Tie this tag to the bag with coordinating baker’s twine.
