Silhouette Art Journal Page Project
Dina Wakley's "Maggie" silhouette stencil has been calling to me since she arrived in our office. From her flowing hair to her soft smile, I knew I wanted to use her in my artwork from the moment I saw her. When the time finally came, she vibrantly placed herself at the center of this colorful art journal page.
Silhouette Art Journal Page Project Directions:
Spritz journal page with coordinating spray inks, and let dry.
Once you are satisfied with your color palette, place stencil over the entire journal page. Stencil on pattern and texture using a palette knife and texture paste.
Spritz the page with one more coat of blue spray ink. Allow the texture paste to completely dry before continuing.
Randomly stamp circles with black permanent ink, and textures with teal permanent ink.
Tape stencil in the center of the page, and stencil silhouette using the mini ink blending tool and black paint.
Fill in a few of the circles with red acrylic paint.
Stamp texture with red permanent ink, and add some journaling or an inspirational quote.
