Picture-Perfect Polaroid Mini Book Project by Christen Olivarez
I recently got married, and one of my favorite gifts was probably the simplest: My friend presented me with several packs of film for her Polaroid Instax camera as well as her camera, which she was lending to me to use during our honeymoon to Kauai. We had so much fun snapping pictures of our favorite spots. I knew I needed to put together a little mini book to record this special time.
The Mixed-Media Journal Set (4.5 x 5.5) from Faber-Castell was the perfect size for the Polaroids. I painted on layers of Dina Wakley’s paint and then used my Ranger Heat-It Craft Tool to speed up the drying time. I adhered a Polaroid to each page, and added strips of washi tape. I circled the appropriate day of the week for each picture, recorded the actual date, and then added what each picture was of. It was so easy that I want to make another one for all of our summertime adventures!
