With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I’ve been thinking about all my mother has done for me. And not just giving me life or taking care of me for years, but things that she has done recently that need appreciation. She’s been helping me take care of my handful of a dog, tolerating his many playful attacks (sometimes, I think he is a cross between a cotton ball and a wolverine). She came with me when I went road tripping to San Diego to tour a tiny house. She’s even going to dress up in costume to attend an event this weekend with me. It is these simple things that I really need to take the time to appreciate. For this project, I decided to capture a simple moment as a daily reminder of how grateful I am to have her in my life.
Love You Forever, Like You For Always Picture Frame Directions:
Paint entire picture frame in Egg Blue paint.
Thin Dylusions White Linen paint with water until it is almost the consistency of water.
Brush whitewash over entire frame to make the details pop. Let the whitewash pool in the crevices to add dimension. If there is still too much white pigment in your mixture, immediately add more water to the frame directly with a paint brush.
Aid dry time with a heat tool if necessary. When frame is completely dry, glue a piece of lace to the back of the frame with gel medium. Attach a mini clothespin with gel medium to the lace, or attach with a thin piece of wire.
Glue a piece of twine to the top for hanging.
