Each one is a distinct creation, brilliantly exceptional in color and design, and could not have been created without a courageous attitude.
One way Teesha remains fearless in her art journaling endeavors is by always experimenting with new ideas. Today she reveals how this secret ingredient adds a “bright” look with lettering in art journaling.

Still yearning for more art journaling ideas? We’ve asked Teesha to share a couple quick tips for extra inspiration to get your creative wheels churning:
On art journal ambiance:
My absolute favorite place to journal is in any place with a lot of natural light. My home art desk is directly below my skylight, so that’s always a great place, but outside is fabulous as well. My family has gone to great lengths lately to have spaces like this in our yard. I prefer quieter places as opposed to more public spaces, but since my husband likes to journal in coffee shops, I join him with my headphones and go to town.
Advice to novice and expert art journalists alike:
The best advice I think would be to never get attached to your artwork. The minute you do, you might freeze and quit exploring the “what ifs,” and it’s that wild abandon that makes journaling so much fun. I also tell students, “When you feel like your journal page is finished, keep going. The second time you feel that it’s finished, keep going. By the third time, it probably is finished.” People tend to stop too soon on a page.
Teesha’s appetite for art journaling is greater than an elephant’s! Her exquisite work has been featured in several Stampington & Co. publications, including one of our personal favorites Art Journaling Spring 2013:
