6 Colorful Studios for Springtime Inspiration
Posted by Amber Demien on Mar 27th 2025
Color is inherently personal, with each shade of the spectrum affecting us differently depending on our personality, style, memories, and more. Everything from our homes to our wardrobes convey the colors that speak to us as individuals … including our creative spaces! While some prefer neutral shades in their studios, allowing their art to stand out, others prioritize an earthy atmosphere of natural materials, while others embrace the entire rainbow. In honor of the start of springtime, with all of its brilliant color, we’re sharing six vibrant studios that are sure to inspire you this season and beyond!

ANN ALEXANDER⎟ IN HER STUDIO AUTUMN 2023
Ann Alexander is a multidisciplinary artist from Carroll, Ohio, who expresses her creativity through painting, illustrating, chalk, fiber, dolls, and a wide variety of other mediums. She has recently become a contributor for MadeTV and is excited to share many ideas with other creatives. She most enjoys trying to capture the beauty of the natural world through her colorful paintings and wool art of flowers and gardens, both real and imaginary. Jana Clinard Harris has lived her whole life in North Carolina, where she also met her soul mate at age 39 (it’s never too late for love!). Together, they rescue senior pups who deserve a loving home in their last years. She is the daily caregiver for their youngest child, and they have three others who are successfully “adulting.” Jana has several chronic illnesses, including EDS (a degenerative connective tissue disorder), which slow her down most days, but it will never stop her from creating. She loves making new art friends, so she welcomes you to visit her at janasartspace.com and on Instagram (@janaclinardharris).
