Monogrammed Burlap Bags Project
To stencil the Natural Jute Bags, place a piece of scrap paper inside the bag first. This will prevent the paint bleeding through to the back side of the bag. For this project, I used Claudine Hellmuth Studio acrylic paint, which works well on this fabric since it isn’t a wearable, and it won’t be going through the washing machine.
Use the 4” stencils on the bags with stencil tape, and monogram the letters onto the front of each bag. Allow them to dry.
On the small notebooks, sew a piece of natural fabric on first, and then monogram the same cording letters accordingly using the smaller 2” stencils.
Once everything has dried, you can add the notebooks to the bags, or alternatively fill the bags with holiday treats, gifts or party favors.
