I usually find myself cooking a lot more around the holidays – always preparing food for potlucks and parties! Sometimes I take the easy road and purchase store-bought dishes, but time willing, I enjoy making homemade gifts much more. Most of the time it can be quick and easy, yet still festive, and it helps if I can collect my favorite recipes – proven winners – all in one place. Please join me in creating a mini binder to better organize some of your tastiest, tried-and-true dishes.

Using various pieces of ephemera from The Shoppe, I added recipes to the book. Some I wrote directly onto 7gypsies Postale Index Envelopes and 7gypsies Postale Index Cards. You can also stuff the 7gypsies Postale Index Envelopes with handwritten recipes, cut-outs from magazines, or recipes printed from online sources.

The Advantus Tim Holtz Idea-ology Page Pockets are great for also adding handwritten recipe sheets, or those recipes you often find on the back of food packing like flour, oatmeal boxes and similar items. I wrote a few of my favorites on the Ecology Natural Filler Kraft Paper and Grubby Tags.

Punch holes in all of the ephemera pieces, and bind the book using the Advantus Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ring Binder. Add some decorative rub-ons to the cover of the album for an elegant, finishing touch.
