A summer full of popsicles, staying outside from sun-up to sun-down, meals cooked on the grill, and more. And as I embrace this time of year, I want to take note of all the simple joys that put a smile on my face, so I decided to alter a notebook that’s small enough to throw in my beach bag or even put in my pocket. I thought these vintage-inspired tags and papers would be perfect for capturing that nostalgic feeling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFirst, rub the cover of the journal with a brown inkpad. Cut a strip of the green patterned paper and add a light wash of white acrylic paint as well as some stamping. Layer various paper scraps and use a stapler to attach them to the journal cover. Cut a small strip of patterned paper and use this to hold a small bundle of dried flowers in place.
