For these cards, trim two of your favorite designs from the page, then trim two scraps from the remaining paper. Add some Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers to the front of the card and assemble with a glue stick or glue dots for an artful card that shows you care and can be completed in 5 minutes or less.

Nothing says you really care like personalized gift wrap. Coordinate your wrapping paper or packaging with a hand-punched tag to give it an extra special touch. Add to the neck of old bottles for a unique party favor, or tie around a brown paper package to give it a pop of color. These tags are created with a circle paper punch. Use funky shapes like flowers or hearts to make it even more personalized, top with a hole punch at the top of the tag, and tie to anything with twine or ribbon.

Mark your place in your weekend read with a corner of color. These easy to assemble bookmarks are just paper folded over the corner of the book and held together with a little bit of glue. Never resort to using ugly scrap paper as a bookmark ever again when these lovely pieces of patterned paper are around. Just slide the paper over the corner for beautiful patterns whenever you sit down to read.

5 Ways to Use Artist Paper: Mixed-Media Woven Backgrounds

Artists’ Papers aren’t just for paper crafting either. Our Artists’ Papers are ready for anything your mixed-media mind can throw at it. The paper is sturdy and will withstand paint, gesso, gel medium, and spray inks well. Add texture to all of your mixed-media projects by adding a strip of torn paper, or collage an entire background. For the sample above, cut the strips into 1/2” strips and tape half of them to a piece of paper. Weave the other strips together to create this mat that is a great foundation for mixed-media artwork. When you are finished weaving the strips together, just flip the entire piece upside down, tape across the back to secure the pieces, and remove the paper backing. Add a sentiment, photo, or paint to complete this textured look.

    I use them when I make simple, little pamphlet-stitched books for note taking, etc. the paper is sturdy enough for the binding. I also make tags, out of them. Mostly I like collaging with them. Try looking at different parts of the paper, too. I like looking through a smal frame or photo slide, to block off smaller areas. Doing this finds many hidden treasures. I often use the hidden treasures in my collages.
