Organize Your Craft Stash with These Great Ideas

Organize Your Craft Stash with These Great IdeasWe all know how it starts — you have a modest amount of crafting supplies that you bought over the last few years, but then someone finds out your creative and word spreads. Before you know it, you’re getting gift cards to your local craft stores, people give you extra craft supplies from their stash, and you buy another 12 sets of the pens you can’t live without. Pretty soon, your craft box has grown to a craft stash and your neat little piles have migrated into one giant heap with no hope of finding the bottom.

Fortunately, we have tons of ideas to help you organize your craft stash and get it in working order again so that you can make 2017 your most creative year yet. Don’t settle for a craft stash that’s overflowing and looks like the paper version of the leaning Tower of Pisa, mixed with a post-apocalyptic landscape of half-used tubes of paint and stray embellishments. Make your craft stash something to be proud of with these ideas for organizing and putting your supplies on display and at your fingertips.

I think I do pretty well, but I really like that organizer Totally-Tiffany created. It would be a way to keep certain things, like stickers, in my face so I remember to use them! Thank you for the opportunity to win!

  97. I love it all!!! Organizing is something I am in desperate need of. My son started a non profit group called Dare to Inspire and we do free art camp for kids. I store all the supplies in my basement and each time we do a camp I have to go through many boxes to pack just what we need for the project of the day.HELP!!

  98. Judi Middleton says:

I love Carolyn Weaver’s colored pencil storage. Also love the way it looks! I’d just been debating, a few days ago, about what to do with my Prisms colored pencils, which are still in the original metal box, stacked in three layers. It can be quite in handy to use them in this manner.

  99. Molly says:

I saw the ScrapRack system a couple years ago. There is no way my budget would allow it, so I improvised…I got a couple old binders from work and used plastic storage bags. There are different size bags that work for different needs…buttons go in snack size, die cuts or labels go in sandwich size, etc.
Its not as neat or easy as a ScrapRack, but I make do with what I got!

  100. Anne Lahr says:

These are pretty storage ideas!I have jars that hang on the wall behind my art table. I love the distressed vintage crate project. Always fun to see what the crew at Stampington is up to. I pinned the clothes pins idea to my Pinterest studio idea board. Not sure how to share the link?

I realy like the spindles with the different pockets. Over the last 50 years, When I find something on the ground, or in the grass, or someones thrown out goods, I just open a box and pitch it in. Then when I am looking for that special piece I go to my box. The spindles with the different pages, makes it so much easier to find. I do like her items.

  109. Jeanette Jones says:

I love to think of myself as the queen of organization. For my craft room which is a converted walk in closet I needed to be especially creative to make use of space. My favorite idea is using curtain rods to hang my out of control ribbon collection. The ribbon rolls sit on the rod and are so easily accessible. I absolutely love it. Now I have to figure out something for my all my stickers and die cuts. The ScrapRack by Tiffany certainly looks like that would be a great solution.

    Here’s my tip:
To organize my dies, I bought $1 metal cookie sheets at Dollar Tree and taped magnetic label sheets (Avery) to them. The metal dies will adhere and are so easy to see at a glance what I have rather than keeping them in envelopes. Other magnetic sheets used as heat vent covers are available at Menards.
I have a small craft room and would love a ScrapRack to help me organize! Please?

Organize Your Craft Stash with These Great IdeasWe all know how it starts — you have a modest amount of crafting supplies that you bought over the last few years, but then someone finds out your creative and word spreads. Before you know it, you’re getting gift cards to your local craft stores, people give you extra craft supplies from their stash, and you buy another 12 sets of the pens you can’t live without. Fortunately, we have tons of ideas to help you organize your craft stash and get it in working order again so that you can make 2017 your most creative year yet.
