Bella Grace free article download

Bella Grace is about embracing the messy in everyday life, about finding the magic in the ordinary, and about loving the simple, ordinary things that make life worthwhile. To celebrate our Bella Grace fans, we’re offering a free article by D. Smith Kaich Jones from Issue 4.

“I like it when you invite me in and say, ‘Excuse the mess,’ and there really is messiness — a lovely mess, but even lovely messes count. I like the roll of striped fabric you’ve propped in the living room corner while you figure out what to do with it and where it should go; I like knowing you felt you couldn’t live without it, I like that you bought it with someday in mind, and I like that you’re ok with someday not showing up yet. I like that you know it will…”

  2. Cathy C says:

Don’t know which is my favorite, but I quit reading the excerpt when I saw, “I like that…” (where was your editor in English class?)

  3. Sandra Webster says:

I have read so many other Somerset magazines, but not Bella Grace. Would be interested to see what it covers!

  4. Bev says:

I too have not read any Bella Rose articles but if the magazine is as good as some of the others that I have read I will love it! Thank you Stampington for the free article and a chance to win an issue of Bella Rose. Now off to download my article and spend some time on this rainy afternoon reading!

  5. Emily NIlson says:

I have not read any Bella Grace articles but I would really like to! I enjoyed the free article!

  6. Jackie says:

I haven’t read Bella Rose but I would if I won an issue.

  7. To be honest I haven’t had the privledge or pleasure of reading the magazine. I like to have a copy in my hands always before I subscribe and I haven’t been able to locate this publication in my city just yet. I was intrigued and motivated in your submissions section to submit a “Simply Sassy Bio” for publication. After years and years of trying and re-writing I finally was able to put together a bio I can say really describes me in 30 words or less. Thanks for this challenge Bella Grace and thank you for the bonus article so I can get to know you a bit better. Thanks to0 for the chance at the giveaway!

  8. Llynn says:

I’ve never read Bella Grace but I loved the free article download. I love the idea of embracing the imperfections in life.

  9. a beautiful magazine…I have not read or purchased before but I do look through it in the store.

  10. Melissa K. says:

I love the article in the download, because I also love houses that are full of reflections of the lives actively lived in them. There are stories in those houses; messy, complicated stories from real people comfortable with being themselves. So much more lovely than any sterile perfection.

  11. Annmarie says:

How can one choose. This has become one of my favorite magazines. The gorgeous photos alone are enough to make reading through it time well spent. My favorite chair + a soft throw + a copy of this magazine = pure bliss ;-)

  12. Lauree says:

i actually have that issue. the photos and the cues in every issue are wonderful…there is no particular article.

  13. Jan Taylor says:

A Lovely Mess of Life. I like this article because it tells that we can have joy, simplicity and comfort in life when there is other than the perfect picture around us. My first article read and I’m craving more!

  14. Cheryl says:

I have not read a Bella Grace issue but would love the chance too!! Thank you!

  17. Gill K says:

Thank you for the download, which I enjoyed reading. I have not seen a copy of Bella Grace here in the UK, so this is the first & only article I have read – & consequently my favourite! Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy of issue 1.

  18. PUFF says:

    Mess of life. So realistic!!

  19. I didn’t know there us a Bella Grace magazine! I like the sample article that says: I like the dishes in your sink, waiting to be washed. I like knowing that that someday will
also come — for me, it comes when I run out of bowls. I let them stack, never minding the
fact that it will take less than a few minutes to actually wash them. I like that you do too” that is so true…Thank you for the chance to win a magazine!

  20. christina webber says:

I can’t believe how refreshing the issue 4 download is! As this is my first time to read any Bella Grace, what a lifetime of weight, guilty weight has been lifted from my shoulders! How absolutely devine someone gets why I have empty picture frames here and there or that it’s okay I have and maybe am a mess myself!

I’m a mess, but not of the filthy kind, I’ve just not made up my mind and that’s okay :-)

  21. Christy Brink says:

I love the one and only article I have read thus far, which is “A Lovely Mess of Life.” Such a beautiful mess is my own life. I hope to win in this giveaway! Thank you!

  22. Teresa says:

Thank you for offering “A Lovely Mess of Life” by D Smith Kaich Jones. It was the first glimpse I’ve had of Bella Grace, and I loved it.

  23. MARTHAIA says:

Its been awhile since I have read an article from Bella Grace Magazine, although the magazine articles I have read awhile back always made me want to order the magazine.Still working on getting the Bella Grace Magazine for a gift or in the budget… Just being honest but really do enjoy all your magazines..TY

  24. TX Creatrix says:

I am on a limited budget, and cannot afford all the beautiful magazines that I would love to own, but this gives me a chance to enjoy your Bella Grace! “thanx”

  25. Doris says:

Thank you so much for the download and chance to win. I will definitely be on the lookout for this publication. Was at Joanns today and did not see it there but hubby was in a hurry so maybe next time I’ll be sure to go by myself. LOL

  26. Sandra Hughes says:

I have yet to pick up a copy of Bella Grace but if it is as good as all the other publications by Somerset it is sure to be a great one!

  27. Jean Marmo says:

    Love Mess of Life!!

  28. Char Hosea says:

I like knowing its okay to be me… messy and all there is beauty within when I accept who I am. I would luv to explore the pages of a Bella Grace

  29. April Lopez says:

I’ve never read Bella Grace but I’ve browsed through an issue at Barnes and Noble. It looks like a very inspiring magazine and I would love to win an issue.

  30. I’ve not had the opportunity to read Bella Grace, haven’t seen it on the shelves of any of our local craft stores but I have read many other stampington magazines and loved them. I know some of the authors that have been included in previous editions and if they are anything to go by I would love the opportunity to sit down and spend time perusing a copy.

    • Sarah says:

Bella Grace is usually available at Michaels, Joanns, and Barnes and Noble. If you know any independent craft stores or gift shops that you’d like to see Bella Grace at, let us know!

  31. Bonnie Cooper says:

What a great idea to introduce us to your magazine:) I see others here haven’t had the pleasure of reading your magazine yet like me. It looks wonderful and I appreciate a chance to win:) Somerset Magazines are the best, so I believe this one will be also.

  32. Blythe says:

I haven’t seen an issue of Bella Grace yet – but “embracing the messy in everyday life” is definitely what I do! So many more important things to enjoy than obsessing over the neat and orderly.

  33. Liz says:

“Mining the Quiet” was a gentle reminder of finding peace in a busy world.

  34. Ella says:

Each issues speaks to our soul, but my new favorite article in the latest issue #5-gosh, hard to pick: STILL by Samantha Heather. (I also have a green door.) I grew up by the bay where the fog would roll in and recreate my world and hear the fog horns speak to each other through the gray edges.

  35. Sheila Wayne says:

Bella Grace feels like a magazine you can sit down with and relax and sooth your soul. Take your mind off of everyday matters and just sit back and enjoy reading.

  36. Beverly H. says:

My favorite is the Messy Life article because I’m messy and I’m imperfect. I want friends that accept me as I am. Not judging but accepting and I will be the same kind of friend.

  37. Francine says:

Bella Grace is new to me, but I envision myself reading an issue and becoming engrossed in thinking of more ways to enhance sensory experiences in everyday life.

  38. Swan Thompson says:

In “A Lovely Mess of Life,” almost every line is memorable; however, I especially loved her reflections about shoes tossed here and there, including under the dining table: “I can see you sitting there, relaxing with a glass of wine or water, discussing the almost gone day, toes free at last.”

What a sensory memory those words provoked! I like D Smith Kaich Jones’ writing style very much. Although I’ve been a Stampington reader for years, I haven’t seen Bella Grace in stores. But now I know which stores carry it, so the hunt is on!

  39. Ruby T says:

Having never read the mAgazine yet, I do not have a favorite article. I think the images on the covers are lovely and are very well done. I read so. e of the other magazines regularly.

  40. TX Creatrix says:

ANY article could be my favorite! They are all great!

  41. I am like so many of the commentors here too. I have not been to the store in time to get the latest issue as they are all gone before I arrive! I did read the download for issue four. So I will comment upon that. I have a dear friend, who is 90 years old. She was a New York model for Vogue, back in the day. I met her when I was 12 years old. I am now 65. We are soul mates, kindred spirits, even with our age difference which does not matter. Her’s is a life full of treasures in her home. Vintage fashion magazine pages of her clothing designer line, as she became a clothing designer in Los Angeles, back in the day. She loves her rose garden and her cats. She sips her wine and eats her chocolates. Her closets are full of her one-of-a-kind clothes. She lives the simple Bella Grace life. She will soon be at the close of her life. But believes that old age is for sissies! Her mind is keen and her spirit is bright. I love her dearly! We are both children in old soul bodies. This is why I loved this one story you gave us to read, by D. Smith Kaich Jones in Bella Grace as it touched my soul to the very core and brought that nuance of connection through the very lines penned upon its pages.
