Gender Reveal Candy Jars

Gender Reveal Baby Shower Candy Jars

This project can be used as a party favor at a baby shower, or as a gift to the expectant mother. At a gender reveal celebration, these jars can be used to tally the votes of your guests for whether the mother is having a boy or a girl!

Supplies:

Mini Heremes Swingtop Jars — 7 oz Kit of 3

Onesie Template

Dina Wakley Media Heavy Body Acrylic Paint — Sky

Dina Wakley Media Heavy Body Acrylic Paint — Magenta

Project Life Cards — Grey and White Striped

Seam Binding Ribbon Silver Grey

Advantus Tim Holtz Idea-ology Chitchat Words Stickers

Stabilo All Marking Pencil — Black

boy gender reveal baby shower candy jar projectInstructions

  1. Shrink the Onesie template to approximately 3” tall.
  2. Trace your Onesie template onto a grey and white striped Project Life card. Cut out.
  3. Paint the white stripes with Dina Wakley Media Paint in sky, or magenta mixed with white.
  4. When the paint has dried, outline the stripes with a Stabilo All Marking Pencil to add definition to the stripes. Add Tim Holtz Chitchat words stickers “boy” and “girl” to the front of the onesie.
  5. Punch a hole in the sleeve of the onesie and tie to the jar with grey ribbon.
  6. For the detail on the top of the jar, stamp the Jenny Doh wreath shape on a piece of white cardstock. Cut out and color in the hearts. Cut out a larger circle from a coordinating Project Life card.  Back the white cardstock with the larger circle and glue to the top of the jar.
