Game On! Tic-Tac-Toe Set Tutorial:

think outside the box1

Take your tic-tac-toe game to the next level with this “Think Outside the Box” Project by Shoppe Manager Vanessa Spencer. Perfect to play on a girls-night-in, (preferably accompanied by hors d’oeuvres and drinks) this creative grid of ingenuity is sure to spark some friendly, competitive fun.

How To:

1) To create the set, start by laying the square shadowbox insert onto a piece of decorative paper from the Postale collection. Place the “right” side (the one you want to show) face down. On the “wrong” side, trace the squares. Cut out all squares and glue the “grid” piece of paper onto the wooden layer using Matte Collage Pauge.

2) Choose coordinating papers from the Postale collection and glue one sheet to the inside of the shadowbox and another to the backside using Matte Collage Pauge.

3) Punch out pieces of the Postale paper with a circle punch, and glue them to the pre-painted white spools. To create your Xs and Os, stamp the cross from the Par Avion stamp set on some of the spools and the circle stamp from the Vintage stamp sheet on the rest.

4) To finish off the game pieces, wrap a small piece of Postale decorative paper tape around the middle of each one – and voilà! Your pretty polka-dotted spools are ready to score endless hours of three-in-a-row wins.
