Ice Capsule Necklaces by Johanna Love

$0.00

Sometimes it's fun to wear your emotions around your neck. Encapsulate your sentiments in these tiny glass tubes, and then use some of our hand-dyed ribbon to make a necklace. Wear one at a time or three at once!

Ice Capsule Necklaces Project Instructions:

First, remove the corks from the glass tubes. Next, clamp clothespins to tubes so they stand upright on their own.

Stuff the tubes with blue and clear mica flakes, and also any special words or phrases that you’ve cut out from old book pages.

Mix Ice Resin per instructions, and use a popsicle stirring stick to drop into the tubes. Do this slowly and carefully. If you spill or drip any of the resin outside of the tubes, wipe it up immediately with facial tissue.

Fill each container with resin up to a few millimeters below the openings of the tubes and then re-cork.

Let the tubes cure (clamped upright in clothespins) for at least 24 hours.

Once the tubes are cured, string the tubes onto some hand-dyed ribbon and fasten each in place with an overhand knot.
