BEST-SELLING BOOK BECOMES NEW QUARTERLY MAGAZINE
Laguna Hills, CA – November 5, 2008 – In 2005, author Jo Packham released a unique art and crafting book that was destined to become a best-seller. Drawing from over 15 years of experience in publishing, Packham developed Where Women Create, a 144-page book devoted to exploring the creative spaces of artistic women. On November 1, 2008, Stampington & Company released the first issue of Where Women Create magazine, developed in collaboration with Jo Packham.
Each quarterly, 160-page issue of Where Women Create will visit the studios of several extraordinary women to give readers a behind-the-scenes look at what drives each artist to create. In addition to rich, full-color photography and insightful articles, readers will also find unique organizational ideas, product reviews, tips for finding artistic inspiration, and the occasional how-to project. The premier issue features articles on Sally Jean Alexander (author of “Pretty Little Things”), MaryJane Butters (author and founder of maryjanesfarm), Shelli Gardner (President and CEO of Stampin’ Up), Kaari Meng (founder of The French General), Jenny Doh (Director of Publishing and Editor-in-Chief for Stampington & Company), Cathie Filian (host of “Creative Juice” on HGTV), and others.
