Here is a sample card and template for the Design Principles Challenge for the next issue of Take Ten. Notice the card is divided vertically into a 1/3 - 2/3 ratio. This ratio is found often in nature and has great harmony. The horizontal measurement above the center elemnt is approximately a 1/3 ratio to the 2/3 ratio under the element — this may have been "instinctive" to the artist. Words and images on the focal point are in a smaller scale than the background pattern; a flower embellishment adds dimension and softens the geometric layout.
