Below are pages from The Stampers' Sampler, August/September 2005.

Passion + Compassion = Stamping Out Suffering
A Unique Rubber Stamping Project Helps Africans in Need Take a passion for rubber stamping and combine it with compassion for the poor. What do you get? A creative collaboration called SOS: Stamping Out Suffering. Melissa Baldwin, founder of The Stamping Studio, has created an exclusive line of SOS rubber stamps with international themes that include Sub-Saharan Africa, Egypt, India, and the Arctic. The charming stamps feature local scenes and people, along with adorable animals.

Vintage Greetings
Jeanette Manley from Chandler, AZ. has crafted individual postcards that have the same look and feel as vintage ones. Even her antiqued papier-mache mailbox captures the same vintage effect. Using clip art from Dover’s full-color Holiday Vignettes: CD ROM and Book and her collection of rubber stamps, she’s created a collection of holiday postcards to send to friends and family.
Circle Card Template
Who says a card has to have corners? We love this circle card template and its series of attached smaller circles. There’s so many great possibilities using this idea, and we’re delighted to publish the resulting artwork from this challenge on pages 56-62.
Faux Posts
Take a look at the fantastic ideas our readers came up with using “Faux Posts” on pages 64-73. They’ve used a wide variety of techniques, themes and images to replicate postage stamps to dress up their artwork.
