A Celtic Psalter
5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
by Susan Sek
Reading, PA

Using the direct to paper technique, apply color to large square manila tags. Add pieces of mulberry paper. Glue found pictures to the prepared backgrounds. Glue verses from Emerson’s poem "The Rhodora" to the tags. Decorate with gold embossed Renaissance border (Stampa Rosa), metallic gel pens, and Golden’s bronze acrylic paint to highlight the pictures. Cover the backs of the tags with decorative papers. Attach the tags together with a loose leaf ring. Tie decorative threads and a Celtic button to the ring.
