Spring Pockets

Our Project of the Week will fill you with creative inspiration! Don’t miss the charming Spring Pockets created by our Associate Editor, Mona Gettman. Created with stamps from Clearly Impressed, Somerset Artist Papers, charms, embossing and more, these pockets are ready to be filled with seeds, soap leaves, candy, jewelry and more. Create your own to give as a petite gift for a wedding, Easter, or Mother’s Day or use as a wonderful Spring decoration.

2) Fold the panel in half widthwise with the right side of the panel on the inside.

3) Fold the right corners into the center diagonally, and crease the folds.
4) Fold the left corners into the center and crease the folds.
5) Unfold the panel and reverse the folds so they match the diagram and. The dashed lines are valley folds and the dotted lines are mountain folds.
6) Re-fold the pocket and crease the folds.
7) Fold a 5" x 5 1/2" panel in half to create a top panel for the pocket.

8) Stamp, collage, and or embellish the pocket, as desired.
9) Fold smaller dimension panels into packets to hold seeds, candy, etc. or place larger gifts directly into the pocket.
10) Attach the top panel to the pocket for a closure, as desired.
