Overview:
The art of this folder was accomplished with stamping from the various Cavallini rubber stamp sets, which include: Birds & Nest (5CPSTAMP/BRD), Bon Jour (5CPSTAMP-BONJOU), Paris (5CPSTAMP/PAR) and Par Avion (5CPSTAMP/AVION). Also used were Cavallini's postcards Vintage Carte Postale (5CPCP-VIN) and Botanica Carte Postale (5CCP/BOT), as well as, Birds & Nests Labels (5CPLABEL-BRD) and Ephemera Labels (5CPLABEL-EPH).
Outside:
Using a Cavallini Blue Bird Designer File Folder (5CFF-BRDBLU) stipple a coat of Golden's Gesso (5GO-3350) to the front and back. After the gesso has thoroughly dried, sand lightly with a Lucky Squirrel Sanding Block (5LS-SANDING) paying close attention to the edges, then, wipe with a cloth. Punch a window using a two inch square punch on a tea dyed shipping tag, embellish as desired, then, attach and punch hole in order to insert 7 Gypsies Amber Crystal Ball Knob (5SG-12442). Further adorn as shown or desired.
Inside:
Cut a piece of Cavallini's Blue Bird Decorative Wrap (5CPW-BRDBLU) to fit the inside of the folder and adhere. Apply a light coat of Golden's Gesso (5GO-3550), then, lightly sand. Apply a piece of lace trim from Heart and Home's Beige Ribbon Collection (5HH-CX405) to the top portion of the open folder using Vellum Adhesive (5JV-005). Cut a house shape from vintage music and adhere to the top section, then, use tea dyed tags and vintage ledger paper scraps to define door and window areas. Stamp and add labels as desired. Add a White Larkspur Real Pressed Flower (5PRE-560M) to door area and a large Prima Flower from their Fall 3 collection (5PM-506544) to the upper window area.
Two postcards were adhered to the bottom section of the opened folder, then, stamped and adorned with additional labels.
