Light Body Metallic Acrylic Paints By

We
use Lumiere paints on so many samples in The
Studio, and now we are offering a rainbow of these marvelous metallic
and pearlescent colors for you to add to your studio supplies. These
acrylic paints brush on like butter, and are designed not to spread
once applied. They are perfect for so many surfaces, including paper,
polymer clay, cotton, leather, silk, wood, and paper mache. The colors
are exceptionally vibrant, even on black or other dark backgrounds.
Lumiere paints clean up with soap and water, yet once heat set, they
are flexible and washable or dry cleanable on most fabrics. We just
love using Lumiere paints, and we’re sure you will, too!

you have never tried these fabulous paints, you may want to start
with the Exciter Packs. Each Exciter Pack
offers a range of colors, and contains a tips and techniques sheet.
This is a great way to try the paints and have a rainbow of colors
to use!
To
begin, cut a piece of 140 lb.coldpress watercolor paper into 3-1/2”
by 2-1/2” pieces for the base. Prepare ATC surface with Black
Gesso (5GO-3560). When dry, stamp Letters
& Time (C8213) using Encore Ultimate Metallic Ink. Paint random
swatches of Lumiere metallics to finish the
card.

To
begin, cut a piece of 140 lb.coldpress watercolor paper into 3-1/2”
by 2-1/2” pieces for the base. Prepare ATCs by painting with Black
Gesso (5GO-3560) and allow to dry. Paint streaks on this surface
with Lumiere paints in desired colors and allow
to dry. Stamp child’s face from Children’s
Faces Cube (C8234) on vellum and mount in a black slide mount. Color
image on the back of the vellum for a soft effect. Highlight with Lumiere.
Glue mounted image to ATC and embellish with a faux gem. Spell out words
using Copper Alphabet Tiles
(5ST-AC917C), and “antique” them by rubbing with burnt
umber acrylic paint.
