TRUE
BLUE
by Kelly Goree
Shelbyville, Kentucky
This portrait was taken of Kelly Gorees
son for his fourth birthday. The photographer, Shelley Rassenfoss,
had just finished a photo session with the boy and had turned
her back on her subject for just a minute. Kellys son
went behind the photographers set and peeked through the
window. (Shelley) and I immediately knew what precious
pictures they would make, Kelly writes. She started
snapping away and got this great shot of him. It really captures
his 4-year-old spirit. Kelly de-saturated the image in
Adobe Photoshop, then tinted his overalls blue for this layout.
