Stars & Stripes Forever

Lightly dry brush white acrylic paint from Cityscape Scrapbook Colors Kit (5MA-23751) along the edges of two Grubby Tags (5GG-GRUBTAG-LG) and across the front of a third tag. Connect tags (place white washed tag in the middle) on backside using Plain Red Gaffer Tape (95SG-17138 - Discontinued). Using Nick Bantock Prussian Blue Ink Pad (5RRBLUE) and Shore Cliff Trim (C8447), stamp rows of starfish images on to one white-edged tag. Using Nick Bantock Vermillion Lacquer Ink Pad (5RRLACQUER) and Small Constitution (M4419), stamp text on to other white-edged tag. Select "Stars" and "&" from Making Memories Script Eyelet Letters (5MA-20932 - Discontinued) and "stripes" letters from Making Memories Classic Eyelet Letters (5MA-20933 - Disconinued), lightly dry brush white paint to front surface of all letters. Let dry Distress letters by using Nick Bantock Lamp Black Ink Pad (5RRBLACK) and applying the ink directly to the upper edges of all the letters. Heat set or let dry. Stain the bottom of the "Stars" letters blue by applying on the Prussian Blue ink directly to the lower half of the letters. Stain the bottom of the "stripes" letters red by applying the Vermillion Lacquer ink directly on to the lower half of those letters. Heat set or let dry. Select blue and red brads from Frills Decorative Brads Patriotic Textured Trios (5QC-TT380) and Red Textured Trio (5QC-TT381), lightly dry brush white paint on a few select brads. Tear into four 1/4" strips a length of red gaffers tape, adhere on to white washed tag to create stripes. Adhere a length of Foof-a-la Pish Posh Collection Marquis Twill Tape (5FF-44005) with Diamond Glaze (5JK-DIAMOND2) as the last stripe. Lightly dry brush white acrylic paint along edges of red gaffer tape & twill tape. Place eyelet letters as shown and mark holes lightly. Punch with Long Reach Micro Dot Punch (5EC-61002) where marked. Use blue and red brads to attach metal letters to tags as shown. Punch holes and place brads as shown on last tag. Create red and white stripes by wrapping Scrapper's Floss – Red (5KF-00255) & White (5KF-00292) around brads as shown. String brass "FREEDOM" letters on the floss and tie off. Lightly paint small starfish from Sea Creature Embellishments - Sea Shell Mixes (5US-21932) with white paint and adhere to star stamped tag.
