Gallery IV Correction:

For the article “Confetti Cards: Turn ‘Trash’ from Paper Trimmer into Bohemian Ribbons” by Sue Bradley (page 56), we inadvertently omitted the sample instructions for “Bohemian Harvest” and “Fruit Basket.” We apologize for this error and any inconvenience it may have caused. The instructions are as follows:

CONFETTI CARDS, page 56
Artwork by Sue Bradley–Matawan, NJ

Bohemian Harvest
Cover an 8"x8" matboard with crinkled pumpkin-colored tissue. Dry-emboss a 1"x8" strip of eggplant-colored paper using a decorative stencil. Highlight the embossed design with pigment inks and Pearl-Ex pigments. Embellish with applicator-tip paint dots. Attach the embossed strip down the left side of the tissue-covered board. Attach a plum and teal feather to lower third of embossed strip. Overlay a purple fun foam medallion that has been heat-embossed with a Celtic rubber stamp (Chronicle Books). Glue a dark blue button on top of the medallion. Gather a variety of paper strips in widths from 1/8" to 1/2" in rich hues. Embellish most strips with applicator-tip paint with dots, dashes, swirls and zigzags. Weave the strips into a pleasing design, leaving the ends at random lengths. Spray the backside of the weaving with adhesive and attach to board, to the right of embossed strip. Add buttons in autumn colors. Cover buttons with fun foam circles that have been heat-embossed with a spiral rubber stamp (Chronicle Books) and highlighted with Pearl-Ex pigments. Punch oak leaf shapes from painted shrink plastic and shrink leaves as directed. Attach randomly to piece.

Fruit Basket
Cover an 8"x8" matboard with crinkled purple tissue. Dry-emboss a 3"x6 1/2" piece of gold artist text using a decorative stencil. Apply pigment inks to embossed design. Embellish with applicator-tip paints. Spray back of embossed gold artist text piece with adhesive and place on lower half of tissue-covered board. Edge the gold artist text piece with 1/8" paper strips on sides and bottom. Add an 8" long gold quilling strip below that. Add a 1"x8" decorated strip of black paper to bottom edge of board. Cut a Tyvek sheet into ovals and scallop shapes about 4"x6" and smaller. Heat each Tyvek shape with a heat gun until it buckles and shrinks. Paint buckled shapes with acrylics in autumn colors. Stipple other colors on top, and add accents with metallic acrylics. When dry, cover some shapes with acrylic gloss medium. Choose several painted Tyvek shapes that look like fruit, and attach to board above embossed piece with double-sided tape. Tear sage green crinkled paper into leaf shapes and attach around fruit. Add quilled spirals in sage green and mustard. Add a paper-covered wire spiral in red.

Additional Gallery IV Corrections:

"Shell Frame" (page 139) was mistakenly attributed to Penny Wesmund. The correct artist is Shelly Hickox of Olive Branch, MS.

In the article "Paper Faces on Parade," the mask "Angels and Feathers" by Vicki Sun (page 79) was mistakenly printed upside down.
