Textile designer Christine Adolph brings her favorite textures and patterns to Somerset Images by Stampington & Company® and the result is a new line of stamps blossoming with possibilities. Reflecting current trends in the design world, she combines classic motifs with contemporary themes and layered collage.

Christine is all about process and technique, both clearly evident in her detailed silhouettes of flowers achieved through cyanotype and photograms. The collection, Fresh Flowers, was designed for versatility, whether it is a single image or a combination of many.

Using Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad (5TS-BLACK), stamp ornate motif and script from Collage Cube (C8418) on a yellow card from Felicity Yellow Box O' Cards from DCWV (5DW-MMCBYELO), as shown. Color-copy an ornate border from Borders & Frames Book (5SPBORDERS) and cut out. Attach a child cutout from Faces From The Past Collage Sheet (5ARFACES). Attach the prepared cutout to the top portion of the card. Attach a length of gingham ribbon from Black & White Ribbons (5MA-23193) and a length of black lace from Lace Border Stickers (5EK-RSNASP017) to the bottom edge of the card. Trim off the bottom edge of the card. Sponge the edges of the card with gold ink. Edge letters from Oval Garamond Alphabet Domed Stickers (5KC-557567 - Discontinued) with a gold pen and dot a letter C from Collage Alphabet (5KC-558830 - Discontinued) with the same pen. Attach the prepared letter stickers to the bottom of the card. Attach three teardrop rhinestones from Black Precious Finds (5EK-SPPF12) to the ribbon on the card.

Poppy Pods
Stamp polka dots from Collage Cube (C8418) with green ink on the left page in a Heart Book (5SDG-HRT). Sponge light green over the image. Stamp the bold portion of Black & White (C8405) with brown ink on the left page. Paint the bottom half of the left page with turquoise watercolor. Stamp border design from Dandelion Print (C8401) with embossing ink on the page as shown. Emboss the images with Heat n' Stick powder and apply gold foil to the images. Wet the area with water and tear away a portion of the image as shown. Wash brown and green inks over the torn area. Glue a butterfly cutout to the page. Stamp Large Cancellation (C8411) with brown ink on the page. Apply foil glue to the top edge of the page and apply gold foil. Stamp bold portion of Black & White with brown ink on the right side of the right page in the heart book. Wash over the image with green watercolors. Apply foil glue and light green foil onto white paper. Stamp Poppy Pods (C8414) with brown permanent ink over the foiled area. Paint highlights on the images with tan and cream acrylics as shown. Wash olive and brown watercolors on both sides of the foiled area on the paper. Glue the paper to the right page in the book as shown.
Blooming Bold
Stamp Button Mums (C8404) with watermark ink on a torn-edge white panel. Apply blue and purple chalks to the image. Over-stamp Blooming Bold (C8400) with teal ink on the panel. Glue the stamped panel, a lavender fabric swatch, a torn-edge panel of purple tissue paper, and a torn-edge music sheet panel to the left page of a Heart Book (5SDG-HRT). Color the open areas of the page with coordinating oil pastels. Stamp text from Collage Cube (C8418) with gold ink on the tissue paper portion of the page. Stamp Button Mums and mesh from Trims X4 (C8417) with watermark ink on a torn-edge white panel as shown. Apply lavender chalk to the images. Stamp text from Trims X4 with purple ink along the top and bottom edges of the panel. Over-stamp Blooming Bold with purple ink on the panel. Mask the flower and over-stamp text from Collage Cube with teal ink on the panel. Attach to the right page of the heart book. Attach the stamped panel, a torn edge music panel, and a torn-edge purple tissue paper panel to the right page of a heart book as shown. Stamp text from Collage Cube with purple ink on the music panel on the page.
Beaux Iris Collage
Stamp Beaux Iris (C8409) with watermark ink on the left side of a white panel. Apply purple and green chalks to the flower portion of the image with a q-tip or eye shadow foam applicator. Apply turquoise chalk to the remainder of the image. Stamp floral border from Trims X4 (C8417) with turquoise ink on the left side of the Beaux Iris image. Stamp ornate motif from Collage Cube (C8418) on the top right side of the panel and clear emboss. Apply lavender and turquoise chalks to the image. Rub coordinating color pencils over the image. Attach sea foam green and violet silk panels to the bottom right side of the panel with gel medium as shown. Stamp dandelion from Collage Cube with Jet Black StazOn Ink (5TS-BLACK) on the silk panels. Stamp mesh from Trims X4 with gold ink on the left side of the panel. Tear the edges of the panel. Apply foil glue and gold foil to the edges of the panel. Stitch the panel to a sage silk panel. Wrap the silk around a foam core panel and glue the edges to the back of the panel.
Butterfly Trio
Stamp ornate motif twice from Collage Cube (C8418) and Brushed Dandelions (C8403) once with watermark ink on a white panel. Apply chalks to the images. Spray the panel with a fixative. Stamp positive text from Black & White (C8405) with watermark ink on the right side of the panel. Apply purple and blue chalks to the image. Stamp Printed Butterfly (C8406) with clear embossing ink on the center of the panel and clear emboss. Over-stamp butterfly from Collage Cube three times with turquoise ink on the panel as shown. Over stamp Large Cancellation (C8411) with gold ink on the panel. Tear the edges of the panel. Apply foil glue and gold foil along the edges of the panel. Stitch the panel to an ultramarine blue silk panel. Wrap the silk around a foam core panel and glue the edges to the back of the panel.
Pressed Profile
Stamp Blooming Bold (C8400) with clear embossing ink on a white panel and clear emboss. Wash the center of the panel with rust and maroon watercolors. Attach a lavender silk panel to the lower left side of the panel with gel medium. Stamp floral border from Trims X4 (C8417) with purple pigment ink on the top portion of the panel and clear emboss. Stamp one flower from Brushed Dandelions (C8403) with turquoise ink on the top left side of the panel. Wash the ink around the image on the panel. Gold-emboss polka dots on the lower left corner, text from Collage Cube (C8418) on the left side, and the mesh from Trims X4 on the top of the panel. Stamp Pressed Profile (C8408) with black StazOn ink on the right side of the panel. Color the image with pencils and chalk pastels. Wash open areas of the panel with pink watercolor. Tear the edges of the panel. Apply foil glue and gold foil to the edges of the panel. Stitch the panel to a copper silk panel. Wrap the silk around a foam core panel and glue the edges to the back of the panel.
 
Sensational Sunflower

Ink the center of Blooming Bold (C8400) with copper pigment ink. Stamp the image on mint card stock and copper-emboss. Ink petals of Blooming Bold with yellow pigment ink. Stamp the image on the mint card stock and pearl-emboss. Mask the image. Stamp Black & White (C8405) with green pigment ink on the mint card stock and pearl-emboss. Cut out the Black & White image. Attach the cutout to a brown panel with green eyelets from Paper Bliss Mixed Accent Kit-Greens (5PB-AKGRN - Discontinued). Stitch two buttons from the Green Accent Pack to the center of the sunflower image with a length of green fiber from the same pack. Stamp sentiment frame (Stampendous) twice with green ink on yellow vellum from Pastel Vellum Papers (5HT-3090 - Discontinued) and pearl-emboss. Cut the images in half diagonally. Tear the edges around the outside of the text. Attach the prepared vellum pieces to the corners of a yellow card as shown. Mount the brown panel to the card with foam tape. Finished sample measures 5" x 6 1/2".
