Happy Bird Journal

Trace the cover of a composition book to a sheet of light blue cardstock. Feed the cardstock through a Xyron machine with adhesive cartridge. Cut the cardstock along the traced line, peel the backing paper, and then attach to the cover of the composition book. Using black photo corners (4PC005), attach any Cavallini Carte Postal Vintage Postcard(5CCP/BRD) to the center, image side down. Attach a length of brown ribbon to a Studio K Metal Art Brad - Round Word Brads (5KC-564671) and attach to a green tag from the Cavallini Paris Gift Tag Tin Set (5CGIFTTAGS/PAR). Using Golden Soft Gel Medium (5GO-3010), adhere the tag to the postcard. Using a brown inkpad, stamp the bird definition image from Anna Corba’s Clearly Impressed Stamp Set French Dictionary (G1301) to the bottom corner. Use images from the Cavallini Birds & Nests Rubber Stamp Set (5CSTAMP/BRD) to stamp tree image with a green inkpad, and a bird with brown inkpad.

Christmas Card Book Box

Paint a papier mache book (5DCBOOKMED) with olive green metallic Lumiere paint (5JQ-562 - Discontinued) and paint the inside pages with metallic gold Lumiere paint (5JQ-561 - Discontinued). Attach Christmas Heidi Swapp Decor Tape (5HS-HS63476) to book spine and front of book. Glue decorative lace to top and bottom of book and glue red buttons (5SM-6MMRED - Discontinued) to lace. Tear a piece of beige document paper a little larger than the Christmas Cheer bird postcard (5CPCHEER) and glue them together. Antique the edges with brown ink pad. Cut a circle of button embossed paper (5KC-636415) and attach to card over greeting. Cut out an alternate greeting and glue across circle.

Sophie's Christmas Stocking

Cut a stocking from two pieces of Naughty or Nice paper (5CI-11257 - Discontinued) and cut toe and heel and cuff from Red Wash (5CI-11256) and Peace on Earth (5CI-11255 - Discontinued). Glue toe, heel and cuff to stocking. Draw a line of Designer Dries Clear Glue to inside edge of heel and stocking and sprinkle Carnelian Shards Glitter (5AG-906) on glueline. Shake off excess. On tips of each point on cuff, attach a Festive Nickel Loopy Brad (5KF-00153). Tie a Silver Jingle Bell (5DC90-3115) on each brad with Red Scapper Floss (5KF-00255). Take a Cavallini Christmas Cats Postcard (5CPXMASCATS) deckle-cut the edge and glue to a piece of red cardstock and deckle-cut that edge also. Glue to center of stocking. Stamp Typewriter Alphabet (J6228) with black ink on Red Wash paper and deckle-cut around each letter, spell "merry Christmas Sophie". Attach with adhesive foam dots. Decorate cuff of stocking with Carnelian Shards glitter. Attach piece of Christmas Heidi Swapp Decor Tape (5HS-HS63476) horizontally on stocking cuff. I also toned down down the writing on the background paper by sponging brown ink all over it.
