Sweet and Simple

These make great Valentine favors and are quick and easy! Start with a mini shadow box (5CTPETITE) and paint the entire box with red paint (5HSP24798) except for the clear plastic area on top. Once the paint has dried use white swirl rub-ons (5BG-BEL589) to decorate the lid of the box. Fill the box with your favorite candy. Close the box and tie it with white Scrappers Floss (5KF-00292).

Seaside Treasures

I love the petite shadow boxes that we sell in The Shoppe so I wanted to create a project to inspire others to use these unique little boxes.

The cover of the box has a clear hard transparency which is great for protecting all your little treasures. Just simply paint the boxes and distress with brown ink then add your favorite seaside treasures and embellishments!

Island Memories

Paint shadow box (5CTSHADOWBOX) with Making Memories Evergreen paint (5MA-23674). Using patterned papers from Basic Grey collections Stella Ruby (5BG-STE775) and Perhaps (5BG-PER782), cut paper to size to fit the inside walls of the shadow box, lightly ink edges brown then attach to the box. Trim the “Train into the City” & “Clouds in the Park” papers from the Stella Ruby pack (5BG-STE775) and lightly ink edges and glue to the front of the shadowbox.

Using a paper piercer, gently pierce a hole in the front of the door and screw on the crystal knob (5SG-12441). Use decorative black rubons to decorate the front of the box. Embellish the cover and inside with Prima flowers (5PM-506193) and attach to the box with pins (5HG-71209). Mount your photo to the “Princess' Pea” paper from the Basic Grey Perhaps collection (5BG-PER782).

Use glue dots (5JV-MINI) to attach the ribbon (5MA-26271) to the photo, then glue onto box using pop up glue dots (5JV-12296) to add dimension. Use Christine Adolph Romance acrylic stamps (C8465) and stamp hearts onto “Princess' Pea” paper from Basic Grey Perhaps collection (5BG-PER782), then glue hearts to the inside of the cover using pop up glue dots (5JV-12296). Also add a heart to the photo if desired.
