I used the three playing cards to represent members of my family. The Ace for my daughter, the King for my husband and the Queen for myself.
Start by covering the arch structure (5PR-24-8061) with the red paper from the Beacon Hill paper kit (5DD-BEACON2). Distress the edges roughly using a black ink pad (5TH-TIM19541). For the 3 inside pages — cut out 3 rectangles using the yellow paper in the Beacon Hill kit. Again distress the edges with black ink. Use any 3 playing cards you desire, ink them and adhere randomly onto the structure. Add the red swan wings (5AR-G915) and then use the most appropriate inchies from our inchies collage sheets (5AR-M201 and 5AR-M217). Add some dimension to the wings with an Artchix button (5AR-B502) if desired. Along the bottom of the structure, add red embellishments (5AR-G914). Once you have glued the red embellishments to the structure, doodle around the top edge with a black marker.
For the front, use the clear square window embellishment (5ON-EMB325) and with glue dots — attach it to a square piece of the yellow paper. Add some small black rubons on the corners to disguise where you used the glue dots. Add any four inchies (5AR-M201 and 5AR-M217) to give the appearance of a window. Attach with strong glue to the cover, then add a small red embellishment at the top of the window. Use your favorite rub-on quote to display the title. |
