Gypsy Calendar Pages Project

UPC:

These calendar pages can be used for a decorative calendar, scrapbook or art journal. Start with the Gypsy Market 8"x 8" collection. Choose some patterned papers and coordinating solids. Print out our free download calendar and print it out onto a tan colored cardstock. Trim the calendars so that just a thin border is left. Ink the edges with black ink. Glue to the patterned papers.

On the "October" page I glued the copper small renaissance foils around the edges of the calendar, then used the gypsy market die cut from the Gypsy Market 8" x 8" collection and stamped the October stamp from the Gypsy Year clear stamp set using the black ink and acrylic blocks. Insert two small brads nto the die cut and the glue the October piece to the center top section of the calendar page. Cut out the two legs from the ARTchix Studio Witch Style collage sheet and glue to October 31st for 2010. For the page that will be opposite October when I assemble my finished calendar, I simply glued a piece of vintage text down onto the green cardstock, then I assembled my bird paper doll onto the same tan cardstock that I used for the calendar using pieces from the ARTchix Studio Birdy Paper Dolls collage sheet and the hat from the ARTchix Studio Witch Style collage sheet. Once the bird doll has dried, cut it out and ink the edges with the black ink. Glue the finished doll onto the vintage text.

For the November pages I printed out the same calendar onto the tan cardstock and glued it onto the green patterned paper. Stamp the November stamp from the Gypsy Year clear stamp set with black ink and acrylic block onto the top center of the page. Add the black baroque foil borders to the top and bottom edges of the page. Cut out the pumpkin from the ARTchix Studio Birdy Paper Dolls collage sheet and glue onto the day for Thanksgiving in 2010. For the opposite page that features the owl image, glue a piece of vintage text onto the red cardstock from the gypsy Market paper collection. Cut out the owl image from the ARTchix Studio Wise Owl collage sheet and glue it to the center of the page. Add the ARTchix Studio tiny dot black foil borders to the top and bottom edge of the owl.

I recommended using the Diamond Glaze for gluing down the foils because it dries clear and has a strong hold. The two pages I have created have quite a festive "fall" theme to them but the Gypsy Market collection can be used for any occasion. Try creating a gypsy-themed album for your own "gypsy" year!
