I love how this image seems to blend photography and illustration so seamlessly that I don’t know what is real and what is digital. It makes me want to dream, and to travel.

  3. Robin Anderson says:

I love the digital inspiration of the mask and the arm check it out on pinterest. The blues against the background colors makes me wish for cooler days and a masked ball of yesteryear

I chose Theresa Martin’s lovely digital collage. I love the romance of her collage and how the images pop right off the white background. It’s just a lovely collage and was the first one to catch my eye and make me sigh… All the collages are wonderful but Theresa’s is my favorite.

  5. jeannie says:

I love the soothing colors of the night sky and the soft glow from the ship. I can feel the peacefulness of the night and the quiet slosh of the water. All your images are beautiful but this one speaks to my soul! I do not know why you do not allow Canadians to win as we do buy your magazines as well as Americans. I am disappointed that I can not win but decided to send my comments anyway! Would like to see more of you magazines readily available in stores in Newfoundland!

  24. Linda Marino says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/113082640618118495/
I love architecture, particularly Victorian architecture. The lavender fields are so pretty, you can almost smell the aroma. It just spoke to me from the moment I saw it, forgotten beauty in a field of soothing scents.

  25. Ann says:

With a heavy heart I pinned, http://www.pinterest.com/pin/63331938484770935/, I have lost 2 babies through miscarriage and understand this digital image so well. This digital image is very powerful with the silhouette of the pregnant female form, broken heart and barbed wire. Sending my deepest condolences to the artist.

  26. Amy says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/68679963042279313/
What drew me in first were the colors. But then it reminds me a bit of a Flemish still life- nice composition and sense of space with a luminous quality. The imagery is also a bit mysterious.

  27. B. Cre says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/384776361886479049/
I really like Aimee Stewart’s use of complimentary colors in this digital image. That is what caught my eye at first. Then I noticed how the water seems to move when you look at it. I am also attracted to the depth of the picture and the symmetry. Great eye catcher!

  28. Trina Curran says:

I pinned the house at the bottom. I’m reading The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, and one of the most important dialogues in the book happens at a house that I picture looks much like the one here. If you haven’t read it, it is a must! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/156359418287822336/

  29. Dana Delaney says:

I pinned the lady phoenix rising. The mask is off and she’s rising to show her true self. I can relate to that at this season in my life.
    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/27514247698349258/

Although the miscarriage image is heart-breakingly beautiful.

  30. Dana Delaney says:

And I just have to add Kudos to the artists and publishers. The responses above are so thoughtful! What amazing images to evoke such true emotion from the viewer. Well done.

  31. Dianna Torrez says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/305189312221437321/
I chose the Lady Phoenix Rising…it speaks to me as I am at a cross-roads in my creative life. After my own “rising from the ashes” I am now emotionally and spiritually free to begin using my creative talents again. I had lost the “fire” and now I am excited to create again. Thank you for all the beautiful images.

  32. I love the peacefulness of this scene. The idea of being surrounded by nothing but the water and the stars.

  33. Carolyn Williams says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/433401164113278096/
I like old houses and the color blue. This picture makes me think about who lives there and what kind of life they have.

  34. Terry says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/136022851220162115/

All of the pictures are beautiful. It was a hard decision, but this one reflects my life at the moment. A year ago I retired and moved across the country. I’m starting a new life – like rising from the ashes.

  35. Helena Hatten says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/hehh/art-stuffdiy-crafts/

  36. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/272467846180829220/

I love this image of the windmill for quite a few reasons. One, it reminds me of Amsterdam, I love the colors and I really love that it is a night image, so mystical.

    MaryJane

  37. Pam Brown says:

Two of my favorites, beautiful architecture and lavender flowers. I can’t get enough of either! Thanks for including this beautiful art!

  38. Lisa M says:

  39. Katie James says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/43980533835332057/

  41. Jennifer Mallon says:

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/266979084134913849/ I love this image. It has a very romantic quality to it with the butterfly on the wrist and on the mask. I also love the contrast of the blue on the black background. Gorgeous.

  42. Char Littleton says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/50172983323293440/
I love this image by Aimee Stewart. The colors are so beautiful and the image of the boat evokes a feeling of longing for things strange and far away.

  43. The composition and balance with eye catching colors in her hair attract me to this picture. The white script adds some dimension to the design.

  44. I love the hope that this beautiful image conveys.

  45. Carola Bartz says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/573857177491701943/

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/175851560425046700/

  48. chark says:

gorgeous! I like this one http://www.pinterest.com/pin/1337074864830719/ because the colors and scene are fab!

  49. Sandra Hughes says:

I love old houses especially two story ones out on the plains, however this one kind of looks haunted. Like it anyway so pinned it.

  50. Barb says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/458100593319605664/

  51. Karen G. says:

These are all gorgeous! I pinned this one – the colors & inviting mystery of the design won me over: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/480055641503013412/

  52. Denise Huntington says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/54184001741593499/

I pinned Laura McCandless’ stunning image because it moved me. I have not had a miscarriage but my sister had 2 plus 1 stillborn child that died at 7.5 months. The image and the message was very moving to me and struck me immediately as I scanned all of the beautiful digital art pieces.

  53. Lori H says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/137922807313376454/

I love the story book feel of this piece. There’s a sense of mystery about it and the feeling that something is about to happen.

  54. Margaret says:

I love Aimee’s with the mask. Gorgeous. I am pinning it to my site

  55. Sarah Brockington says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/298152437803986361/
I understand first hand the anguish of losing a child. It leaves a hole in your heart forever.

  56. Tisa@SeattleRetro says:

Winds echo across the dusky landscape
and wrap around a silent sentinel
as it waits for loved ones to return home.

This is the perfect blend of photography and painting. Lovely, dreamlike colors invite you in to look closer.

  58. Donna Marsden says:

This beautiful house is so close to the house I grew up in and ibrings back memories of a time when life was so much gentler.

    • Gabriela says:

It’s wonderful that the image was able to inspire such good sentiments from you Donna Marsden! Don’t forget to include a Pin It link so that you can participate in our contest. :)

  59. deedee Holst says:

There is a story inside that home.

  60. Dena says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/58969076345704981/

I would love to be on that boat. Serene and lazy, staring at the stars.

  61. Elizabeth Etheridge says:

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/295408056780709007/ I was a serious amateur photographer for many years and have dabbled in painting and mixed media, including digital imaging for ever and I am attracted to images with dramatic lighting. This image handles it wonderfully, the dramatic sky, and then the WOW of the lighted boat. I’m so glad I pinned it so I can continue to enjoy it.

  62. Paula W. says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/greenfieldwhitc/great-images/

I love the Chinese Dao boat sailing at night under the intense starry sky. I really, really want to be on that boat. And I want to learn how to create images like this that take me to another time and place!

  63. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/199565827212860223/
This moved me. It is a testimony of how art can express the pain that so many others have felt or are feeling. In this beautiful piece we are connected and I am moved having seen it.

  64. Frances D says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/32510428535227894/
The sky is full of stars…hard to believe this is anything but paint on canvas. A beautiful piece of art…but then, all of the pieces on this page are beautiful. I think I’ll pin them all!

  65. Shari says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/199988039678062184/

I chose the lighted ship heading off to the next harbor. The sky – contrasted with the warmth of the lanterns on the ship – evokes images of adventure and mystery from every children’s story and fairytale I ever loved. The blue’s aren’t foreboding, they are inviting, and the lanterns project safety and warmth. Oranges and blues are a magical combination, but usually blue isn’t the dominant tone. Images that transport you usually are the most gripping, that’s what I found here. Really happy to get a dose of childhood magic :-)

  66. Kristen Peterson says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/183521753540811689/
Love the colors and graphic combination.

  67. Dottie says:

http://www.pinterest.com/duckigrrl/i-love-to-play/ It’s my favorite because it reminds me of my dream house.

  68. Emily R says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/159455643031590409/
I chose the ship at night. I love how there is the feeling of a journey and anticipation of what is to come.

  69. This looks like it could be a house one of my ancestors lived in, in Ohio. Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling!

  70. Elisha says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/115827021641267258/
I chose Jaimie’s image becaues the house reminds me of a home I lived in as a young girl, and I feel like I’m transported back in time with the ethereal quality of the image.

  71. vinnie says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/117023290292893169/

I pinned this piece, because I adore the colors and would love it blown up on canvas, hanging in my home!

  72. Karen Schaefer says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/81557443226860203/
I chose the blue house because of my fascination with old architecture and because I love the blending of the colors! Truly beautiful!

  73. Linda says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/491455378059914827/
I love the melancholy nature of the house. So gray and blue with the tiny dots of red – or are they pumpkins – on the porch.

  74. Cindy Marsha says:

Tomorrow is my birthday. The image I pinned (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/84090718017310368/) by Jill McCall appealed to me right away because I have dark hair and pale skin and in 2010 I went to Paris for a milestone birthday. I am a professional writer of letters and love the postal stamps that are part of this mixed media digital artwork. I always adored a floral headband like this vintage model is wearing … it is so romantic and when I get married, I will wear a headdress like that. I also like the warmth of the colors and textures in the overall image. Great job, Jill!

  75. Judy says:

I love the way the clors blend into deeper richer tones, but mostly I love the overall image. It’s the insoration of rising from the ashes into a Phoenix, how all women have wings and can rise above what drags us down. It so beautiful and makes me think I can achieve or overcome anything. :)

  76. Kim says:

I chose Jill McCall because I love the romanticism and vintage feel of an era gone by…I get a feeling of love with the beautiful women with flowers around her hair; the beautiful mansion in the background; a postmark and text indicating a possible love letter all combined and brought together with beautiful textures, borders and colors..so very lovely. http://www.pinterest.com/kimberlyw/stampington-company-~-digital-inspirations/

  77. Becky says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/387380005421042634/
Just love the beauty of all these images together…

  78. SANDRA MARTINEZ says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/155303887125202277/

I love Paris and the expression on the ladies face. Thank you!!

  79. Lora Terry-Steele says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/117938083966723367/

What stood out to me in this picture was the Red Windmill and that the artist used only, “in Rouge” from the sign. Rouge meaning red! The artist captured the atmosphere of that area in Paris.

  80. Glenda Giguere says:

The images are magical and remind me of China and the first time I went to adopt daughter #1. I would look up at the stars at night before I was allowed to travel to Mainland China and think about my daughter that I would soon be meeting.

  81. Lynn Collier says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/52143308160486751/
I love this image because it shows the woman becoming the phoenix. A new beginning. Love the colors.

  82. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/254946028880719715/

The use of color and negative space is especially compelling.

  83. Debbie says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/100697741643014569/

I love all the layers in this. Even though it is a flat image, it feels dimensional. I like the contrast between the darker jewel tones and the woman’s skin. Thanks for the chance to win!

  84. The house can generate different emotions depending on your mood. Is it wistful, haunted, cottage, romantic??? It makes me want to pull out my paper and pencil to practice my new hobby.

  85. Melissa Kennedy says:

I had a hard time choosing; they’re all lovely. But Angi Sullins’ work really speaks to me about where I am in my life right now; rising from the ashes, starting over, reborn. It’s beautiful: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/207658232792953335/

  86. corbin says:

    http://www.pinterest.com/corbindowning/projects-to-try/

    Sincerely, Corbin

  87. Elizabeth Langston says:

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/13229392630593908/ This one is my favorite because it celebrates classical arts – prose, music, etc.

  88. Kasey Williams says:

I feel at peace when staring at this beautiful picture. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/384776361886542234/

  89. Alexis says:

I like them all but something about this one, with the dark blue sky and the lone lighted ship, just attracts my attention the most! Digital Inspiration: Pin It to Win It – http://pinterest.com/pin/37154765650605723/
