Thrifting for organizational holders is the best way to store your endless supply of crafts. Our Shoppe Manager picked up some inexpensive kitchen organizers at a local thrift store, and we knew just the kind of crafting product to sort: washi tape! With the hundreds of new designs that are now in stock–from shiny metallics and vintage lace to geometric patterns and vintage prints–we needed a fun way to display the tapes and have them available at our fingertips. With just a bit of spray paint and adhesive sealant, she turned ho-hum kitchen accessories into stunning desk de-cluttering essentials.
Give organizational surfaces a light sand to ensure that the paint sticks well. Apply spray paint or acrylic paint to surface; two coats might be necessary. When dry, apply a light layer of Collage Pauge to seal in the color and protect the surface. Gather up your odds and ends, fibers and ribbons, patterned and solid tapes, and organize to your heart’s contest!
